With the ePURO TOP, outdated wood-burning stoves can be retrofitted and new fireplaces optimized. The proportion of fine dust in the flue gas from wood-burning fires can be reduced by up to 90 % with the electrostatic fine dust separator. The particle separator is based on the electrostatic principle. The fine dust particles flow through the flue gas duct with the flue gases. Electrons are released by a high-voltage electrode. The electrons move towards the chimney wall via electrostatic forces. In the process, the fine dust particles are charged and also moved towards the wall. The fine dust collects on the chimney wall and clumps together to form coarse flakes. These deposits are removed during cleaning by the chimney sweep. Cleaning the flue gas duct prevents the flakes from returning to the fine dust form.

The system structure
The ePURO TOP fine dust separator can be installed on a masonry chimney with or without an inner pipe (as shown here) or on a double-walled stainless steel system. A 230 V connection must be provided on site. The ePURO TOP is mounted on the chimney head using a cover plate and a T-piece. The flexible electrode is inserted into the flue pipe through the T-piece.
The system is activated when the connected fireplace is in operation and the electrode in the flue gas pipe generates an electric field. The 230 V high-voltage transformer supplies an output of 15 to 30 kV at max. 30 W. In standby mode, the consumption is a low 0.7 W.
