Functional
The ePURO DOOR allows existing wood-burning stoves to be retrofitted to meet current standards, while complementing new fireplace installations. Operating on an electrostatic principle, a high-voltage electrode releases electrons into the flue gas stream. These electrons charge fine dust particles, causing them to migrate toward the inner chimney wall under electrostatic forces.
The accumulated particles coalesce along the flue wall into coarse flakes, remaining trapped until removed during routine chimney sweeping. Regular maintenance prevents these deposits from re-entering the airflow. Depending on operating conditions, fuel quality, and setup, the system achieves tested particulate separation rates of up to 90%.

The system structure
The ePURO DOOR fine dust separator can be installed on a masonry chimney, with or without an inner pipe made of ceramic or stainless steel. It is installed using the ePURO DOOR stainless steel cleaning door, which is available as an accessory and replaces the upper cleaning door in the roof space. The original accessory component meets all requirements for chimney seals in terms of tightness and fire resistance. The flexible electrode is inserted into the flue pipe through the cleaning door. A 230 V/50 Hz power connection is required.
The system is activated when the connected fireplace is in operation and the electrode in the flue gas pipe generates an electric field. The 230 V high-voltage transformer delivers an output of up to 21 kV at max. 30 W. In standby mode, the consumption is a low 2 W.
