Factory Tour by Local MP, Sharon Hodgson

(Washington, Tyne and Wear, 06. September 2017) Our celebratory year continued with a visit from our local MP, Sharon Hogdson, who with her husband, Alan, spent some time at Schiedel to learn about our 50 years in the UK, as well as to take a factory tour and officially launch the new Weil Flexistar Machine.

Sharon has been the sitting MP in Washington and Sunderland West since 2010, having previously been the MP for Washington West and Gateshead. Sharon has served on a number of select committees including the North East Regional Committee and the Children Schools and Families Committee.

The factory tour was conducted by Barrie Wray, Plant Manager and discussed the improvements made, as well as detailed information on the Flexistar machine. After the ribbon cutting, Sharon and her husband, Alan, were presented with a commemorative Schiedel pen with the 50 year anniversary logo on.

All at Schiedel would like to thank Sharon and Alan for their time and appreciate the visit.

It’s a great time to celebrate with Schiedel, as World Class Status was awarded for 2016, just having passed a milestone with no lost time accidents for 3,000 days and our forthcoming anniversary dinner at Cafe 21.
